Let's talk about Belief Systems

We talked about the Thetahealing® technique previously and how we use the Theta brain wave to facilitate changing Belief Systems that we no longer want to have control over our lives. Now let's get a little deeper into what these Belief Systems are and where we get and hold onto them.

What is a Belief System?

It is the acceptance by the mind that something is true or real, often underpinned by an emotional or spiritual sense of certainty.

Our words, thoughts, emotions, and physical body are synergistically linked together. A thought is an electromagnetic wave that sends a message to the neuropeptides, which then sends a message to the central nervous system to produce a result in the body. These Belief Systems are strong enough “thoughts” that are relayed to the neuropeptides which causes the body to react to emotional beliefs to which they are conditioned. The key to making life changes is to change these messages that are sent out so that we can change the response that we receive.

The Conscious and Subconscious Mind

Our conscious mind is like a word processor and is the decision maker for our day to day activities. It asks the subconscious how to perform tasks, observes how these tasks are done and makes decisions on what else needs to be done.

The subconscious mind is like the computer’s hard drive, it holds all of our memories, habits, characteristics, and self image. It also controls all of our automatic bodily functions such as breathing, pumping blood and our beating heart.

Now, the body can be compared to the computer hardware. It responds to the automatic commands that the subconscious is sending out. If we change the commands then we can change the automatic commands that our body is responding to.

As we discussed before, the ThetaHealing® technique gives us access to the subconscious brain and allows us to go back to when we formed these beliefs and gives us the opportunity to change them to work better in our current lives.

There are four different belief levels

Core Level - These came from our current lives. They are usually formed in childhood, but not always, and are held in the frontal lobe of the brain.

Genetic Level - These beliefs come from our ancestors or are being stored in our genes in this lifetime. They are held in the morphogenetic field around our physical DNA.

History Level - These are beliefs that come from our past lives, deep genetic memories and collective consciousness we are connected to. These are held in our aura.

Soul Level - This is all that we are, our soul. These beliefs are taken out of the completeness of the person, beginning with our heart chakra.

Muscle Testing

We can identify beliefs and what level they are held on, by muscle testing. Muscle testing isn’t absolutely necessary to identify beliefs, but it can help verify for someone new to the ThetaHealing® technique that what is being identified is what our subconscious believes, despite what our conscious brain thinks. For example, a person can consciously believe that they are worthy of love, but may muscle test that on one or more levels that their subconscious does not believe this statement.

How do you muscle test?

Before you begin, make sure you are hydrated, muscle testing can be affected by dehydration.

  1. Stand up and face North

  2. “Zip up” your aura, by pulling an imaginary zipper up the length of your body

  3. Out loud say “Yes”. After you do this your body should lean forward, of it’s own accord, for a positive answer

  4. Out loud say “No” After you do this your body should lean backward, of it’s own accord, for a negative answer.

  5. State a belief out loud to test for a positive or negative, below are some example:

    1. On my Core Level, I love myself.

    2. On my Core Level, I am allowed to be happy.

    3. On my Core Level, I am worthy of success.

    4. On my Core Level, I am joyful.

This can be repeated by changing “Core” to, "Genetic", "History" and "Soul", to see what levels you are holding these beliefs on. You may be surprised at your answers.

Things to know about Muscle testing

Dehydration can affect muscle testing. If your body isn’t swaying try drinking some water and testing again. Also, if you spoke a different language as a child, or are multilingual, you should do the testing in these different languages. You may not hold the belief in all the languages that you currently speak. Our unconscious mind does not understand negative words such as, don’t, won’t, can’t, ect. If you are coming up with your own statements to test, leave these type of words out of your statements. Also muscle testing can’t verify everything, only things that are in our subconscious. Therefore, it can’t nor should be used to verify medications, diseases, decision making and other things.

What surprises did your muscle testing uncover?

Are you ready to change what your subconscious is saying about you?
